Bye Bye!!

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to flip this video horizontally, but I captured Dylan waving bye bye and can't resist sharing!

Playtime

We are having so much fun during playtime with Dylan at 7-8 months. He loves playing with building blocks, balls, basketball hoops and swings. He is at the age where he loves exploring new shapes, colors and noises. He's also reached a turning point where the boy characteristics start to come out - boisterous & rambunctious...hits, pulls hair, pinches, but we enjoy it and love him to pieces even more.

Party at the Kids Pool

First trip to Phoenix

Derek, Brandon, Matt & Dylan

Dylan experienced a couple of first milestones on our first trip to Phoenix:

1) the plane ride

2) the blistering Arizona heat
(well, what we beachy Californians refer to 90+ degree weather as heat)

3) the pool

All in all, despite the sunburns & the nuclear meltdown on our return flight home, the trip was super fun. Dylan got to see where his Daddy grew up, see his grandparents' houses, and meet new friends.

We set up the first meet cute for the next generation of 90210 - Dylan met his new friend Brandon.

Chatterbox

Dylan has become very communicative and quite the chatterbox. He mainly talks about "la la la", and we're pretty sure we heard some "ma-ma-ma-ma" sounds. But, I particularly love when he carries conversations with his turtles and frogs in his crib.

(this video is purely audio since this was filmed in the dark)

NBA Semi Finals

The Lakers are a highly sensitive topic in my family. My parents LOVE the Lakers. I was born and raised in the 80's to root for the gold and purple.. to love Pat Riley, Kareem Abdul Jabar & Magic Johnson.

Matt, on the other hand, HATES the Lakers, despises Kobe Bryant (only because he is constantly being compared to Matt's iconic sports idol, Michael Jordan) and remains loyal to his native Phoenix Suns, and fellow SCU alumni Steve Nash.

In order to satisfy the loyalty of my husband and my family, MY position remains neutral like Switzerland. Dylan on the other hand....

Mini Matt

At 7 months we started to see glimpses of Matt's facial expressions and features in Dylan. We've been enjoying his new set of emotions, ranging from temper tantrums to cracking up hysterically.
